Internationally-trained dental specialists or graduates from non-accredited programs wishing to challenge the National Dental Specialty Examination may be eligible to do so through Pathway II.

The first step to challenge the Examination via Pathway II is to successfully complete the Dental Specialty Core Knowledge Examination (DSCKE) administered by the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB). Upon completion of this Examination, interested parties may apply for admission into one of the Dental Specialty Assessment and Training Programs (DSATP) offered at several Canadian dental faculties.

For specific information regarding eligibility to challenge the DSCKE, dates and deadlines, fees and format, please contact the NDEB directly.
